Book Twitter is the informal community of readers, authors, booksellers and librarians who post about books on X (formerly Twitter). People find each other through hashtags such as #BookTwitter and #booktwt, shared lists, live audio Spaces and group chats.

How long can a tweet-sized book review be?

A standard post on X holds 280 characters. Any link counts as 23 characters no matter how long it is, and emoji count as two. Premium subscribers can post longer, but a review that fits in 280 characters gets read in full in the timeline.
